Andrea Klemme is a Digital Teacher Librarian and Literacy Interventionist at Excel Academy in Arvada. Andrea is also a dyslexia therapist in Louisville. As a teacher-librarian, Andrea specializes in information literacy instruction for K-8 students based on reading models of effective reading instruction. Andrea is recognized by the International Dyslexia Association as a Structured Literacy Specialist and by the Academic Language Therapy Association as a Certified Academic Language Therapist. Andrea has a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University and a Masters of Arts Teaching - Literacy Intervention from Colorado College as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from CU-Boulder. Andrea serves as an Historic Preservation Commissioner for the City of Louisville. Andrea's previous career was as a software product manager.
