Feedback form is now closed.
Do you want to assure your library is on the path to financial success and sustainability? It takes more than adopting an annual budget. A ten-year financial plan is essential to assure buy-in from staff, community stakeholders and donors. Launching into this long-range vision can seem daunting, but by using existing templates and samples that will be provided, you can align limited dollars with defined priorities. No one knows what the next ten years will bring, but with a plan, you’ll be in better control of your library’s destiny.

You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions of three specialists representing large, medium and small libraries, all of whom are eager to assist and hear your challenges and success stories.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. You’ll be able to identify the necessary ingredients of a successful financial plan (data, statistics, strategic goals, community feedback, finance policies) and integrate those into templates for creating a well-defined guiding document.
  2. You’ll become confident at aligning a financial plan with realistic trends, investment allocations, and the legal requirements that your library adheres to on a regular basis.
  3. You’ll learn how to assure the best possible level of buy-in from board members, stakeholders, and donors, using proven strategies for uniting disparate voices that may have incongruous priorities into a shared vision with a mutual commitment toward the organization’s financial success.
