Ever wanted to spend a day in the life of an academic librarian? Come hear academic librarians with a variety of roles talk about their jobs in a short, informal panel/roundtable format. Panelists will include mentors from the new CoALA (Colorado Academic Library Association) mentoring program, which enrolled its first participants in spring 2019. After hearing from panel participants and learning about the new mentorship program, attendees will break into focused topic discussion groups. We’ll provide suggested discussion topics for each group to get the ball rolling. You bring your questions and interests, and we’ll bring the mentors!

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Attendees will gain a better understanding of academic librarian roles and challenges.
  2. Attendees will interact with potential mentors and explore whether the CoALA mentorship program is a good fit for them.
